Texas System Police Association and its efforts:

The average cost of tuition and fees for the 2016–2017 school year was $33,480 at private colleges, $9,650 for state residents at public colleges, and $24,930 for out-of-state residents attending public universities. The cost of education is constantly rising every year creating a systematic problem of affordability and extreme debt to college students. This is expect ably a problem for young American who come from lower income households. Therefore, the TSPA Scholarship Fund was created to help college students in their efforts to obtain a higher education. 

The TSPA Emergency Relief Fund was established to help TSPA members that are active at the time of their hardship and their immediate families with emergency situations beyond their control, which has caused a financial hardship. This is to include helping to rebuild shattered lives of survivors affected by line of duty deaths.
